You've Got Mail!

This week's theme at school was focused on the post office and the grocery store. Alana was very excited to bring the mailbox that she made at school home and kept wanting to put more mail in her box. Read more about her week here!

Long Week for Alana

We were in LA for the weekend for baby Ashton's baby shower which was great. Unfortunately Alana came back with a cold and was fighting the congestion, a cough and a light fever all week. She was actually sent home on Wednesday because her fever reached 101-degrees. By the end of the week she was getting her energy back but this week at school she has been a little sluggish and therefore a little absent in this weeks photos but this weeks theme was about community and library - check it out!

Week of March 14th

Alana Update!

Alana is doing great with the transition to the new house. We've been there two weeks now and she's definitely made herself at home. Sunday night was the first night she slept in her new room and new big girl bed - I'll have to upload pics of that in another post. For now here's here school update from the week of March 7th!

Valentine's Day Week

This week we celebrated Valentine's Day and it was my first parent involvement activity at Alana's school! It was cool, they had "special treats" (rice krispy treats) and wore adorable heart hats and after snack we painted a heart together. Then we went home early and Alana helped me cook a special dinner for Daddy for Valentine's Day before Grandma came over so that Jon and I could go to prenatal couples yoga. It was a good day! The rest of Alana's week was good too as she learned about transportation, you can read about her week and check out a few pics here. Enjoy!

Busy Week - Legoland, New House & School!

You won't see too many pictures of Alana in her weekly school update but it's not because her teachers were neglecting her it's because she wasn't there the first half of the week. We were at Legoland! Alana had a great time and was just tall enough (34") to ride on most of the rides and loved it! This is just one of the many pics I took, I'll try to upload all my pics monthly and share them in a slideshow post at the end of the month.

We got home from San Diego late Tuesday and on Wednesday we signed papers for our new house! We had dinner there in the empty house (pizza of course) on Thursday night and Alana was excited about her new room and also loved the echo of her voice in the big empty place (that won't last long!). The contractors have already moved in and started some work on the kitchen and patio expansion so we won't actually move in until the weekend of February 25th but we'll keep you all posted!
